ICKA CAYARD 

Icka Cayard is passionate about ceramics.  She began working with this art form in 2000 at the Terra Linda Community Center where she still attends workshops once a week.  Icka has shown her work in several art shows here in Marin and as far away as San Diego.  She has been commissioned by a few clients to create custom pieces.

Icka comes from and artistic family.  Her father has designed everything from cars for Volvo to watches and boats.  Her sister is a fashion designer.  Icka was born and raised in Sweden.  She moved to the USA in 1984 and to Kentfield in 1996.  She is married with two teenaged children.

Among Icka’s favorite subjects is the Birdhouse.  The birdhouses come in various themes from tropical with palm trees to Holiday festive with Santa Claus and his reindeer. 

Her collection includes: Busts, Birdhouses, King Neptune, Platters, Bowls, Vases, Bird Baths, Cookoo Bird, Water Features, a School of fish for an entire wall, Mermaids, and the Incredible Face.
